Channel: Gamers Nexus
Main Points:Gamers Nexus strongly criticizes LG for shady and aggressive practices with their monitors and TVs.Adware/Malware Issue:

When you plug in a new LG UltraGear monitor (e.g. the $1,200 34GX900A-B they tested), Windows Update silently installs LG software + McAfee adware without asking for permission.
This happened on both brand-new and years-old monitors.
The LG app installer has very broad permissions (access to almost all system resources, location, activity, etc.).
LG has a long history of anti-consumer behavior:Forcing ads into smart TV screensavers.
Secretly collecting viewing data.
Adding pop-ups that shift legal responsibility onto users for wiretapping/eavesdropping laws (you’re supposed to tell guests their voices might be recorded).
Texas AG Lawsuit: LG recently settled with Texas for secretly monitoring what people watch and selling the data.
The video warns that LG forces users to choose between privacy and security updates, calls the practices potentially illegal, and advises against buying their monitors/TVs.
Overall tone:
Very negative — they returned the monitor they bought for testing and tell viewers to stay away.
